http://silcnet.org/docs/draft-riikonen-silc-spec-09.txt
Abstract
This memo describes a Secure Internet Live Conferencing (SILC)
protocol which provides secure conferencing services over insecure
network channel. SILC provides advanced and feature rich conferencing
services with security as main design principal. Strong cryptographic
methods are used to protect SILC packets inside the SILC network.
Three other specifications relates very closely to this memo;
SILC Packet Protocol [SILC2], SILC Key Exchange and Authentication
Protocols [SILC3] and SILC Commands [SILC4].
Changes to previous draft:
o Added section on UDP/IP connections.
o Added Version (V) identifier to SILC Public Key. Defined that currently
SILC Public key version is 2. Defined how to compute fingerprints of
SILC public keys.
o Defined that with SILC Public key version 2 keys PKCS #1 is with
appendix and the hash OID is included in the signature.
o Redefined the CTR counter block and IV.
o Clarified CBC mode and randomized CBC mode texts.
o Clarified MPI integer encoding text.
o Added sha256, hmac-sha256 and hmac-sha256-96.
o Added Appendices C and D.
