new user setup with GAIM plugin

Hello,

I would like to use the SILC network with gaim. I have compiled the
plugin however I cannot figure out how you are suppost to connect to the
network. How do I create an account ?

I can see documentation for the silc-client however I don't really feel
the need to install it if gaim actually supports all the features. Why
should I run two clients ? I cannot find a single document written from
the point of view of a gaim user.

I found many documents talking about the features. You sold me, now I
need to know how to log on. If I have to install silc-client just to
initialize my account/config files whatever then fine. Please point
me in the direction I need to go. If it is a document that would be
fine. If it is some direct help thank you.
