SILC Client 1.1 Beta2

The new version of the SILC Client is now available!  The source package
of the software is available from the following sources:

          http://silcnet.org/
          ftp://ftp.silcnet.org/

An entirely new version of SILC Client, the version 1.1 Beta2, is out. 
This is still in beta and can still have some issues.  If you encounter 
any problems please report them either by sending bug report to 
silc-devel at lists.silcnet.org or fill out a bug report at 
http://silcnet.org/support/bugs.php.

The 1.1 is not full of new features, instead it is based on new rewritten 
client library and the upcoming SILC Toolkit 1.1.  There are still couple 
of missing features that will appear in later beta releases.


Summary of Changes
------------------

Here are the higlights of the new features and changes in 1.1.

o New Irssi base, the upcoming Irssi 0.8.11.

o Based on the new upcoming SILC Toolkit 1.1.

o Rewritten client library, faster and smaller

o Rewritten key agreement support

o Rewritten file transfer support

o UDP support in Key Agreement

o Counter Mode support in ciphers

o Partial support for upcoming SILC Protocol version 1.3

o Partial support for SILC Public Key version 2.

o Fixed all known issues from 1.0.

o Myriad of other fixes and changes.

Installation
------------

The source package is compiled and installed as instructed in the INSTALL
file found from the package.  Quick installation:

   ./configure
   make
   make install
