:
: when i start pidgin and connect to our silc server (1 channel on auto-join),
: i get two pairs of error message dialog boxes. each pair consists one box
: "Invalid memory allocation" and one box "Error encoding SILC public key
: identifier".
:
The "Invalid memory allocation" means that it tries to allocate by 0 or
probably by -1, which then causes the error of "encoding the public key
identifier". It's difficult to say if it is pidgin or Toolkit problem.
I'd like to see the server public key of the server you were connecting
to. At which point do you get the errors? After you have connected and
refreshed buddy list or before that?
